chassis: Tidy up lambda funcs in get chassis

This commit tries to avoid the cumbersomeness of lambda functions used
directly or indirectly by handleChassisGet method. Lengthy lambda
functions are replaced by or involve normal functions. There's no
functional change in this commit.
